Japan? Afraid of technology? The country that gave us Gundams, advanced computers, and all but rewrote the technological revolution of the 20th century? Are you serious? Since 1945, Japan has both adored, and abhorred, technology. And this fear shows in their movies, anime, and games. This panel will look at how Japan's fear of the machine has translated itself to screen and book.
