Moms at the Con

This panel is an info exchange on Anime, gaming and Japanese culture conventions. We encourage all to attend but especially the members who are new to conventions and the seasoned veterans to help infom, giving an understanding of this subculture. We will also explore the possible connection to autism and this subculture with Heidi Morein who is now doing her masters thesis on this topic. We have Abe Klein who has a masters in counseling and a long time anime fan. He will help us understand the human drama that goes on at cons and how to eat heathy at cons. Joining us as well will be Rose Rappaport who has a degree in Japanese culture and is a long time cosplayer. She will help us with Japanese culture and identifying who the cosplayers are doing at the con. Allen Riegel is a four year cosplayer and anime fan and Juilan Morein with his experance in anime. Both will be helping us to find info and photos online related to our Q&A. Then lastly we have Barb Riegel with a degree in psych & social work who has son who is autistic. She will be the facilitator, who will share ideas for safety at cons and how cons opperate. So come and join us to learn and share about this subculture! We will do our best to inform you and maybe even entertain you. During the con we will be wearing buttons saying "Moms at the con ask me!" So if you see us and have a question stop us and we shall try and answer it.
